Join us to hear about the new DER Industrialisation Centre for South West and Wales, based at CSA Catapult’s Innovation Centre in Newport and how it will coordinate the national Materials and Components and the South West and Wales (SW2) aspects of the DER Industrialisation Centres.

Partners currently include the Universities of Bath, Swansea, Cardiff, Bristol, Birmingham and Exeter, CSA Catapult, the Compound Semiconductor Centre and a range of industrial organisations and partnerships.

 

Speaker: Garry Wilson

Garry Wilson is a consultant to the CSA Catapult working as the DER – Industrialisation Centre South West and Wales COO. He was previously a member of the executive leadership team at the Advanced Propulsion Centre and within this role he was part of a nationwide, cross-sector team that helped develop the ISCF wave 3 proposal that led to the approval of the DER programme. He has led SME’s at Board level in engineering services and technology innovation, has led a global operation as part of a Tier 1 supplier and led engineering and manufacturing teams within a global OEM. A degree qualified Chartered engineer with additional qualifications in marketing, business and directorship and a Fellow of the IET, his career has been predominantly in the full spectrum of the automotive sector and has also working with the aviation and marine sectors.
