CSA Catapult Response to COVID-19: UPDATE

22nd April 2020

UPDATE: 22/04/20: We are operating business as usual to support our customers and industry partners on project delivery and this will continue throughout and beyond lockdown. During week commencing 4th May, our labs will re-open for business-critical work that is impossible to do at home and we are working closely with our technology and facilities teams to execute this, following strict guidelines.

We are supporting our employees, encouraging the team to stay in touch with their colleagues and managers, and are advising them on how to ensure well-being at this unusual time. We are also working together with the UK and Welsh Government and are supporting where we can in the effort to combat COVID-19.

UPDATE 26/03/20:  In view of the announcement made by the Prime Minister yesterday evening which aims to slow down the spread of Coronavirus by increasing social distancing and self-isolation, CSA Catapult has taken the decision to temporarily close its headquarters, the Innovation Centre, for all work.  This is with immediate effect.

CSA Catapult takes the wellbeing of its employees very seriously so all colleagues have been advised to work at home and we have put in place measures to support them to do so effectively.

We would like to reassure all our stakeholders that we will continue operating as usual, albeit remotely, and that they can continue to get in touch with us via the usual methods (email, phone, website or social media).

Catapult staff are fully accessible within usual business hours, with telephone or video-conferencing facilities available instead of face-to-face meetings.  Please do not hesitate to contact us for further clarification or information should you require it.

We will continue to post any updates on our response to the latest COVID-19 status on our website and on social media.

Please stay safe and we look forward to re-organising in-person meetings and events as soon as it is deemed safe to do so, following government guidelines.

UPDATE 20/03/20: Compound Semiconductor Applications (CSA) Catapult has been implementing its business continuity plan this week in keeping with guidance from UK Government and NHS Guidelines regarding COVID-19 and as a result we have taken the decision that staff should work from home, where possible, until further notice.

CSA Catapult has the necessary tools and business systems required for remote working with many staff regularly working from home, so our remote working processes are well established and staff have full remote access to CSA Catapult systems.

Our Innovation Centre is open for business as usual and our labs remain open and accessible for critical projects until further notice.

We would like to reassure our customers, partners and stakeholders that we are continuing with business as usual.

Catapult staff are fully accessible within usual businesses hours, with telephone or video conferencing facilities available instead of face to face meetings. Please do not hesitate to contact us for further clarification or information should you require it.

We will continue to post any updates on our response to the latest COVID-19 status on our website and on social media.

Please stay safe and we look forward to continuing business as usual – although in a new way for a while – and to re-organising in-person meetings and events as soon as it is deemed safe to do so, following government guidelines.

17/03/20: At CSA Catapult we are following government guidelines and have put the following procedures in place in response to the COVID-19 virus threat:

  • All employees have been advised to work at home if they can and we are fully supporting and enabling them to do so
  • We are encouraging staff to hold virtual instead of face-to-face meetings
  • Our Innovation Centre remains open for employees should they need to come in
  • We are in contact with external contacts in relation to postponing events and organising virtual instead of face-to-face meetings
  • We will continue to post any updates on our response to the latest COVID-19 status on our website and on social media.

Please stay safe and we look forward to continuing business as usual – although in a new way for a while – and to re-organising in-person meetings and events as soon as it is deemed safe to do so, following government guidelines.
